FIFA's Niclas Ericson and Charles-Henry Contamine Join Top Speakers Line-up
Participants Represent 16 Different Countries So Far. Join Them!
Niclas Ericson, the Head of Broadcast and Media Rights at FIFA, is the latest top name from the world of sports media to join the exciting line-up for The Sports Market 2007, the first must-attend sports industry event of the new year.
The Sports Market 2007 will take place at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts on Piccadilly in the heart of London on February 1, 2007.
Niclas will provide an introduction to the rights-owners and agencies panel, the opening session of the day, in which he will outline FIFA’s approach to packaging and selling its television, broadband and mobile rights and how it has changed its approach for the period 2007 - 2010.
Niclas is uniquely qualified to view the sports media rights market from all angles, having worked for a sports agency (the Milan-based Media Partners) and a broadcaster (Nethold, the pay-television group with media platforms in Italy, Benelux, Scandinavia, Greece and South Africa) before joining FIFA in 2003.
He will be joined by his colleague Charles-Henry Contamine, Head of New Media at FIFA, who will participate in the new media panel that will discuss the issues surrounding the broadcasting of sport via the internet and mobile phones.
Charles-Henry joined FIFA in 2001, having previously been internet project director for EDS France, AOL France and the organising committee for the 1998 World Cup, hosted by France.
Niclas and Charles-Henry join a growing list of panellists that includes some of the top names in the world of sports television and new media. For the full list of confirmed panellists and all other conference details, visit the conference website at: http://www.sportcal.com/smc
