England Women face strong Czechs in tough Euro League tie
PRESS RELEASE PRESS RELEASE PRESS RELEASE PRESS RELEASE The England Women's team face a strong Czech Republic side in a 'double header' (the away match to the Czech Republic was cancelled) Joola European League Division One match at the Parkside Centre, Autoquest Stadium, Widnes next Tuesday, 14th March, supported by Halton Borough Council. England, combining experience and youth, will be led by Helen Lower (Staffs), 29, from Wolverhampton, the national no.3, Kubrat Owolabi (Middlesex), 33, the former all African champion, and Katy Parker (Lancs), 15, the national cadet champion and England junior no.2 who comes from Preston. The opposition from the Czech Republic are all much higher world and European ranked: Hana Valentova, Renata Strbikova and Jana Dobesova, their strongest team.
