Getty Images wins four prizes at the British Sports Journalism Awards
Getty Images, a world leader in visual communications, took home four prizes at the British Sports Journalism Awards announced last night. First staged in 1949, the British Sports Journalism Awards are the oldest sports awards in Britain, recognising excellence in the profession of journalism.
Getty Images photographer Richard Heathcote won the prestigious Ed Lacey Sports Photographer of the Year as well as the Canon Sports Portfolio of the year. While Getty Images photographer Alex Pantling was named Young Photographer of the of the Year, the second year running for Getty Images after Naomi Baker took home the prize in 2019.
Specialist Sport Portfolio of the Year was won by Getty Images photographer Justin Setterfield for his portfolio of cycling images, and Getty Images photographer Alex Davidson was highly commended in the same category for his portfolio of cricket images.
