Brazilian Championship Has Two Teams Among the Ten Best in the World
Also on the list of best teams for February is another shining Brazilian club: Paraná. This team is making a strong show at the Libertadores da América Cup, took first place in the ranking and was considered the best club in the world. The list takes into consideration the games from competitions organized by the continental and national federations held during February.
The ranking shows the success of Brazilian football. It is not by chance that Brazilian Magic Football, a package of 82 games broadcast live from the Brazilian and Paulista championships, is the highlight of the Globo TV Sports portfolio. In just the last six months, 50 more countries have signed deals with the distributor to present this package. Currently, Brazilian Magic Football is seen by millions of fans in 180 countries around the world, in regions including Asia, North and South America and both Eastern and Western Europe.
“Brazilian Football is, without a doubt, one of the strongest in the world. We have in the Brazilian Championship six world interclub champions and the official seal of football, for having won five World Cups,” states Marcelo Spínola, director of Globo TV Sports.
Globo TV Sports specializes in distributing Brazilian sporting events to the international market, including football championships, stock car, indoor football, beach volleyball and marathons. The distributor took part in the Sportel, which was held in Miami from March 12th to 14th.
