Davis Cup becomes Socios' first tennis partnership
The International Tennis Federation and Kosmos Tennis, organisers of the men’s Davis Cup, have become the latest entities to partner with Socios, the blockchain-based fan engagement platform.
The agreement will see the creation of a Davis Cup fan token, $DAVIS, which will launch at the Kosmos Sports Summit in Madrid, Spain, on 4 November. It will be available via Socios.com.
Through this, fans will be able to access exclusive content, be involved in the decision-making process by voting in polls and take part in games, competitions and quizzes to earn club benefits and experiences.
Socios has partnerships with over 70 sports franchises across soccer, fighting, motorsport, cricket, basketball and gaming, but this represents its first partnership in tennis.
This year’s edition of the Davis Cup Finals will take place across three European venues – Madrid (Spain), Innsbruck (Austria) and Milan (Italy) – from 25 November to 5 December.
