Sky New Zealand, the pay-television broadcaster, has named Three, the commercial channel owned by US media giant Discovery and operated by Newshub, as its free-to-air partner for domestic coverage of tennis’ upcoming Wimbledon Championships.
Under the agreement, Three will show live daily action from the grass-court grand slam across the opening week, followed by a selection of quarter-final and semi-final singles matches and delayed coverage of the men’s and women’s singles finals.

The commercial network will also provide coverage on its ThreeNow streaming service.
Last December, Sky NZ agreed a multi-year rights deal with the All England Lawn Tennis Club, the organiser of Wimbledon, to show the event from 2021.
The broadcaster will provide full live coverage via its Sky Sport channels, with an additional supplementary feed to be made available on its Sky Go and Sky Sport Now streaming platform.
