Blockchain payment company UPCX has announced its official sponsorship of the 2024 Doha World Swimming Championships and the 2024 Swimming World Cup.
As part of the deal between that company and the World Aquatics governing body, UPCX's logo will feature on swimmers’ bibs and digital multimedia channels such as the official competition website.
UPCX's chief marketing officer Yutaka Imaizumi said: “As sponsors, we are honored to be part of the 2024 Doha World Swimming Championships. A global strategy has always been our priority, and our blockchain services are not limited by national borders.
“We are committed to global development and serving a broad user base. This collaboration will help us raise awareness of UPCX and enhance global consumers' recognition of our brand.”

Then from October to November 2024, the three-week Swimming World Cup tour will take place across Shanghai, Incheon, and Singapore.
The Doha World Swimming Championships were meant to take place in 2023, however, the Championships have subsequently been delayed until 2024 due to a knock-on effect of previous championships being pushed back due to Covid-19.
