Concacaf, the governing body for soccer in North and Central America and the Caribbean, has unveiled four founding commercial partners for the inaugural edition of its Women’s Gold Cup (W Gold Cup) national teams competition.
Mexican beer brand Modelo, Qatar Airways, automotive giant Toyota, and automotive lubricants provider Valvoline have all come on board as founding partners for the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup, which will be held in the US between February 17 and March 10.
The 15-team competition securing these sponsors, Concacaf has said, “highlights the demand to be associated with this exciting new official women’s national teams competition.” All four have existing commercial deals with Concacaf, in some cases covering the men’s Gold Cup.
The confederation is now planning various fan engagement initiatives before and during the tournament.
Modelo becomes the W Gold Cup’s official beer, Toyota its automotive partner, and Valvoline is now the tournament’s official motor oil.
Both Modelo and Toyota have been sponsors of the men’s Gold Cup since 2017.

The US was confirmed as the W Gold Cup host in January, and last month it was announced that the final would take place at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.
That venue is home to San Diego Wave FC of the National Women’s Soccer League and recently hosted the 2023 men’s Gold Cup semi-final between the US and Panama.
