Bundesliga International, the global commercial rights division of the German men’s soccer league structure, has extended its video archive partnership with global sports and entertainment agency IMG until the end of the 2025-26 season.
The long-term renewal will see IMG continue to license the archive video content from German soccer’s top two leagues.
Under the agreement, certain footage dating back to the 1963-64 season will also be made available on IMG’s digital archive platform IMG Replay, alongside selected archive highlights and programming.
This new deal will build on Bundesliga and IMG’s existing partnership, where IMG retains the rights to sub-license top-tier Bundesliga and second-tier Bundesliga. 2 archive content to territories around the world excluding Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, and Luxembourg.
IMG will support global media companies, brands, and partners to sub-license content from the Deutsche Fussball Liga’s (DFL) historical database, which spans 60 years, going back to its inaugural 1963-64 campaign.
The ‘DFL Media Hub’ provides national and international media partners with access to over 200,000 hours of historical film and video recordings from the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2, as well as working with the DFB (German Football Association) to include Liga 3, the Women’s Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal cup competition, and men’s and women’s international matches.

IMG Replay holds one of the latest sports archives globally via deals with the International Olympic Committee, English soccer’s Premier League, World Rugby, the Wimbledon grand slam tennis tournament, golf’s DP World Tour (formerly European Tour), mixed martial arts' UFC, and boxing’s Queensbury Promotions.
It recently renewed its video archive partnership with ATP Media, the media arm of the men’s professional tennis tour, through 2025.
