The Professional Squash Association (PSA), the organizer of top competitions in the sport, has partnered with tech company Red Zone to provide live data on the broadcasts of its matches.
Through the agreement, the firm will offer a range of live stats and data-led graphics throughout the 2023-24 campaign.
Starting with the upcoming Paris Squash tournament, taking place between August 27 and September 2, stats will be fed into the broadcast at all PSA World Tour Platinum events, as well as the PSA World Championships, PSA World Tour Finals, and selected other tournaments.
This will include in-depth data on rally length, shot location, shot type, and ball in-play duration, which will be utilized in broadcasts to “enhance the overall presentation of the sport.”
The data will also be made available post-match to players to assist in their analysis of their performances, while stats will be highlighted and visualized via the PSA’s digital channels to increase fan engagement.
PSA events are available on the organization’s in-house SquashTV streaming platform.
