Mola, the subscription streaming service, has today (June 20) announced the renewal of its exclusive media rights deal with mixed martial arts’ (MMA) Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in Indonesia.
Under the multi-year agreement, the platform will continue to feature all live UFC events, including numbered events and Fight Nights, plus “hundreds of hours” of programming from original shows such as UFC Countdown, UFC Connected, Road to UFC, and classic combat sports events.
In addition, Mola will also re-air a primetime broadcast of the upcoming UFC 290: Volkanovski vs. Rodríguez event on terrestrial channel ANTV on July 9.
During the partnership to date, UFC and Mola have worked together to increase UFC’s brand footprint in Indonesia.
UFC launched its first social media accounts in Bahasa (Indonesia's official language) on Facebook and Instagram, while Mola has initiated an athlete development program that offers promising Indonesian prospects advanced training in the US.
In Indonesia, UFC claims to have more than 51 million fans, the third highest number among countries in Asia.
