Dyn Media, the new sports streaming platform headed up by former DFL German soccer head Christian Seifert, has launched a production arm.
Dyn Productions will produce coverage of the platform's partner leagues and competitions.
Verena Gottl, an experienced sports media production executive, has been appointed as managing director of the division.
Gottl most recently managed the overall production at the Magenta Sport streaming platform, while previous employers include the ProSiebenSat.1 German commercial broadcaster.
Andreas Heyden, Dyn Media’s chief executive, said: "Verena Göttl is the perfect person for this key position. With her many years of management experience and first-class know-how in the production of sports reporting, she will play a key role in shaping our channel.”
Plans for the then-unnamed Dyn platform were announced in February last year and it will start broadcasting on August 23,

By GlobalDataAn annual Dyn subscription will cost €150 ($161.8), the equivalent of €12.50 per month, while a single-month subscription will cost €14.50.
A subscription will cover access to all live fixtures from a range of properties across handball, basketball, field hockey, and table tennis.
The platform will be available across all devices in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and will provide access to live sports, highlights, and on-demand content.
In late April, Israel-based sports video content provider WSC Sports partnered with Dyn to automatically create and distribute real-time video content and highlights directly to the new service and its associated social media channels.
Late last year, meanwhile, sports media tech firm Deltatre was hired to build Dyn’s streaming service.
