Telecoms operators StarHub and Singtel will continue to show the prestigious Formula 1 (F1) motor racing series in Singapore after agreeing sub-licensing deals with BeIN Sports, the international pay-television broadcaster and primary rightsholder.
The agreements were concluded ahead of the 2023 season-opening grand prix in Bahrain yesterday (March 5).
Through the deal, StarHub's Sports+ customers will continue to have F1 coverage via BeIN Sports (channel 213).
Subscribers can also stream all 23 races live on their preferred smart devices across all networks at no extra cost.
The sports+ pass subscription is priced at $25.22 per month with a two-year contract. Through this, subscribers will also have access to Formula 2, Formula 3, and the Porsche Supercup via channel 213 as well as Formula E, WorldSBK, and MotoGP via SPOTV on channel 209.
Other StarHub offerings include European soccer’s UEFA Champions League and Europa League, the German Bundesliga, Spain’s LaLiga, and France’s Ligue 1, tennis’ four grand slams, ATP, and WTA events, and cricket competitions in India and South Africa.

By GlobalDataMeanwhile, Singtel will also provide coverage on BeIN Sports via Singtel TV channel 126 or its Cast Sports Plus Pack, the telecoms company told the Straits Times.
StarHub and Singtel have shown F1 in Singapore since 2021 after the rightsholder at that time, Fox Sports Asia, shut down its channels in the region in October of that year.
The telcos picked up the rights for the remainder of the 2021 season and the entire 2022 campaign.
In January, BeIN Sports acquired exclusive rights in 10 territories across Southeast Asia, including Singapore, through the 2025 season.
The Singapore Grand Prix returned to the F1 calendar last season after a two-year pandemic-enforced hiatus. This year’s race in the country will take place on September 17.
