ONE Championship, the Singapore-based international mixed martial arts (MMA) series, has partnered with Thai free-to-air television Channel 7 and Thai media and entertainment company Tero Entertainment (formerly Bec-Tero) to launch a new weekly Muay Thai series.
ONE Lumpinee will run at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in the Thai capital of Bangkok every Friday featuring “the best local and international martial artists competing in ONE’s Muay Thai, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts divisions.”
The first event, ONE Lumpinee 1, will take place on January 20 and will feature Seksan Or. Kwanmuang vs. Tyson Harrison on the bill, while ONE Lumpinee 2 will be headlined by Nong-O Gaiyanghadao vs. Alaverdi Ramazanov.
ONE promises world-class production quality and set design that will make the venue “the new home of Muay Thai in the modern era.”
The events will be broadcast live domestically on Channel 7 HD and in more than 150 countries around the world.
As part of the tie-up, ONE’s monthly ONE Fight Night events will also be broadcast on Channel 7 beginning with ONE Fight Night 6 on January 14.
