Sky Deutschland customers will have access to all matches from German soccer’s top-flight Bundesliga next season after the pay-television operator agreed a carriage deal with global sports streaming platform DAZN.
Through the distribution agreement, Sky will launch a new Bundesliga package in combination with DAZN ahead of the upcoming 2022-23 season.
For €38.99 ($40) per month, subscribers can watch Bundesliga games on both Sky and DAZN and also have access to the latter’s wider sports offering, including the UEFA Champions League, France’s Ligue 1, Spain’s LaLiga, and Italy’s Serie A.
The combination offer is initially just for new customers and will only be valid until September 30.
Sky has rights to show all Saturday and midweek Bundesliga games, while DAZN airs matches played on Fridays and Sundays.
In addition, Sky also shows matches from the second-tier 2. Bundesliga.

By GlobalDataSky and DAZN retained the Bundesliga pay-television packages in Germany for the 2021-22 to 2024-25 cycle for a combined total of €4.4 billion (then $4.95 billion).
Last season, fans in Germany had to purchase two separate subscriptions to watch all Bundesliga games but the respective operators are now seeking to offer a more suitable solution with all the matches available under one package.
The cheapest total annual price for individual Sky and DAZN subscriptions is €514.99, while the new combination offer is €467.88.
Through the carriage deal, two DAZN TV channels will be available on Sky.
The new Bundesliga season will begin on 5 August as champions Bayern Munich face Eintracht Frankfurt, with the match to be shown live on DAZN.
Outside of soccer, DAZN’s sports portfolio includes American football’s NFL, basketball’s NBA, and mixed martial arts’ UFC, as well as boxing, darts, handball, and field hockey.
Sky's Premier League and Formula 1 offerings will not be part of the package as viewers will need a separate Sky Sport subscription to view the broadcaster's coverage of the English top-flight and prestigious motor racing series.
