Extreme Networks, the cloud-driven networking company, has today announced new partnerships with English soccer giants Manchester United and North American ice hockey’s NHL, as well as a renewed deal with American football’s NFL for its showpiece Super Bowl.
The US-based company will serve as the official Wi-Fi network solutions provider and Wi-Fi analytics provider of Manchester United in a multi-year agreement, while it will be designated as the official Wi-Fi analytics provider and Wi-Fi partner of the NHL through 2026.
The firm will install ‘Extreme Wi-Fi 6’ access points at United’s Old Trafford stadium, with work to begin later this year.
Additionally, Extreme will help the Premier League club access real-time network analytics to “drive more personalized and informed decisions around both the fan experience and overall venue operations.”
As part of its partnership with the NHL, Extreme will deploy its ExtremeAnalytics solution across select arenas around the league.
Extreme Analytics will provide the NHL “instant access to business intelligence and actionable insights regarding fan preferences, foot traffic flow, mobile sports betting trends, application usage, and network security, as well as enhance certain elements of venue operations for NHL teams.”

Extreme has once again been announced as the official Wi-Fi analytics provider of the NFL’s upcoming Super Bowl.
It will mark the company’s ninth consecutive partnership with the league’s showpiece championship game.
This year’s Super Bowl will be held at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on February 13.
The 70,000-seat venue – home of the LA Rams and LA Chargers – is one of nine NFL stadiums using Extreme Venue Analytics 2.0, a custom solution designed for the NFL, which offers richer data sets and insights around app performance and usage, dwell time, and location-based services.
ExtremeAnalytics is already used in 29 of the 30 NFL stadiums.
Extreme also provides Wi-Fi services to baseball’s MLB and motor racing’s Nascar.
