FIFA, soccer’s world governing body, has launched an invitation to tender (ITT) for the media rights to the 2027 Women's World Cup (WWC) in selected territories in Europe and Central Asia.

Entities that want to participate in the tender process can request the ITT documents by emailing fwwc2027-media-rights@fifa.org. The bid submission deadline is 12pm CEST on June 3.

The tender includes the following European territories: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark (including the Faroe Islands and Greenland), Estonia, Finland, France (including Monaco and the French Overseas Territories), Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Republic of Ireland, Israel, Italy (including San Marino and the Vatican City), , Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland (including Liechtenstein), Türkiye, Ukraine, United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

The Central Asian countries included are Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

Notably, Germany is not included in the tender.

In the majority of those European countries, media rights to the 2023 WWC were held by the European Broadcasting Union, with coverage provided by its members in the respective territories.

The 2027 WWC will be hosted in Brazil as the tournament heads to South America for the first time.

After the expansion of the 2023 edition, 32 teams will again compete in at least eight host cities around the country (with Brazil qualifying automatically). 

In recent months, FIFA has launched tenders in Brazil, the US, and Puerto Rico.
