The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has continued its recent sponsorship spree by extending its commercial relationship with the Africa Global Logistics (AGL) firm.

AGL has come in as a sponsor of the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) men's national tournament, and of the 2026 women's equivalent. The men's AFCON will be held in Morocco, starting on December 21 this year and finishing on January 18, with the women's tournament held in that same country next year.

This deal follows the original collaboration between the pair, which came ahead of the delayed 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast, which took place last year.

Patrice Motsepe, recently re-elected as CAF's president, said: "CAF is delighted to once more establish a partnership with AGL, with whom we successfully worked together at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023. AGL is a leading logistics company, and its partnership with CAF reflects the substantial commitment by both parties to the development and growth of football for men and women in Africa."

Earlier this week, CAF and the national airline of Morocco, Royal Air Maroc, announced a deal. Royal Air Maroc becomes an official global partner for an array of top-tier African soccer competitions and tournaments, including the men's and women's AFCON.

In terms of other CAF commercial deals, meanwhile, oil and gas giant TotalEnergies will title-sponsor the upcoming AFCON, through a deal announced in January that covers 12 CAF competitions and events in total.

TotalEnergies has sponsored CAF competitions since 2016, with this latest renewal taking the partnership beyond a decade in length, with the value worth a reported $31.25 million per year, or $250 million total over the initial eight years of the deal.

Philippe Labonne, president of Africa Global Logistics, added: "Thanks to our partnership with CAF, we celebrate the passion of millions of Africans for football, while reinforcing our commitment to local content, engaging with communities, and promoting women’s inclusion. Together, thanks to the power of football, we’ll keep moving Africa forward.”

The previous AFCON was won by the host nation, Ivory Coast.
