The Minnesota Wild, of North American top-tier ice hockey’s NHL, have signed a new multi-year partnership with Minneapolis, Minnesota-based electric utility and natural gas firm Xcel Energy, one which will, however, see that company's stadium naming rights deal with the Wild come to an end.
The new partnership marks the end of the existing 25-year arena naming rights agreement between the two entities this summer, with the Wild set to announce a new arena naming rights partner before the start of the 2025-26 NHL season in October. The Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota, has played host to the Wild's home games since 2000.

As part of the new deal, Xcel Energy will continue to be a major community and business partner of the Wild, with Xcel to maintain its branding presence in the franchise’s arena and online platforms.
Additionally, Xcel Energy will launch the Community Power Play initiative, working with the Minnesota Wild Community Relations and Hockey Partnerships team to expand access to ice hockey for children and families throughout Minnesota.
Valencia, the Spanish soccer club, and sports nutrition brand AMIX Advanced Nutrition, have reached an agreement to renew their partnership for two further seasons, extending through the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
As part of the extension of the deal, which was first signed in the 2023-24 season, AMIX will carry on as the official nutrition partner and official sports supplement provider of Valencia.
The new women’s WNBA basketball team, the Toronto Tempo, have announced the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) as their latest founding partner.
As part of the deal, CIBC will be the Tempo’s official bank, and its logo will appear on team jerseys when the Tempo debut in 2026.
Red Bull Racing, the dominant Formula 1 (F1) motor racing team, has announced that Patrón Tequila, the Mexican spirits brand, will carry on as a team commercial partner.
Patrón became the first-ever spirits partner of the Red Bull team in 2023, which involved a Patrón Tequila bar featuring in the Red Bull Energy Lounge at select races.
This will continue this season, with the addition of a new cocktail.
Patrón will also continue in its role of organizing official race after-parties.
