Eurosport India, an arm of the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned international sports broadcaster, has acquired exclusive rights to show a package of games from North America’s Major League Soccer (MLS).

The pay-TV operator will show the league’s ‘Sunday Night Soccer’ games for the remainder of the 2025 season, the new prime-time initiative for the 2025 campaign, showcasing the marquee match of the week.

It will feature high-stake clashes, including ‘El Tráfico’ (LA Galaxy vs. LAFC), the Hudson River Derby (New York Red Bulls vs. New York City FC), and the Cascadia Cup (matches between the Seattle Sounders, Portland Timbers, and Vancouver Whitecaps in the Pacific Northwest division).

Sunday Night Soccer has emerged as a flagship product for MLS, designed to wrap up each weekend’s action with a high-profile matchup and is part of the league’s international growth strategy.

The marquee Sunday night matches are available on Apple TV in the US and will now be featured on traditional linear TV channels in multiple countries around the world through new distribution agreements.

Domestically, MLS has non-exclusive deals with Fox and TSN in Canada, however, neither contract includes Sunday Night Soccer, which is available on Apple TV+ without the need for a Season Pass subscription.

As well as Eurosport India, MLS has struck deals with international broadcasters such as SBS in Australia, Dubai TV in the Middle East, TV3 (Spain), Sportdigital (Germany), SkyK (South Korea), Charlton (Israel), Go (Malta), and SPOTV (Southeast Asia).

The move aims to grow the league's global audience, especially in the lead-up to the 2026 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the US, Mexico, and Canada.

This international push complements MLS’ recent recruitment of global stars, including Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Marco Reus – signings that have boosted the league’s appeal and media attention.

More international partnerships are expected later this year as MLS aims to increase the reach of its Sunday Night Soccer offering globally.
