Italian public transport firm Ferrovie Nord Milano (FNM Group) has become the latest official partner of the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

FNM will be the Games’ regional transport sponsor, providing transport services across the territories that will host the Olympics and Paralympics.

As part of the agreement, FNM will strengthen railway and bus services, and it will play a key role in transport planning, parking management, and the optimization of railway stations.

FNM will also provide transport services for spectators in the Valtellina area, including free shuttle bus services connecting Tirano railway station to the Olympic venues in Bormio and Livigno, as well as parking assistance.

FNM is also set to launch a communication campaign as part of the partnership.

FNM has partnered with other Italian transport firms to facilitate the deal, including railway infrastructure manager Ferrovienord, regional rail operator Trenord, local public transport companies Azienda Trasporti Verona and FNM Autoservizi, mobility company Busforfun.com, and cross-border rail service TILO.

Andrea Varnier, chief executive of Milano Cortina 2026, said: “This agreement marks a strategic milestone in our journey towards the Games, as it allows us to implement an integrated and efficient mobility system for athletes, spectators, and local communities.”

“The goal is to improve the quality of life for people, cities, and businesses, by creating connections that generate value, in accordance with the principles of economic, social, and environmental sustainability, as well as safety and innovation.”

Milano Cortina is ramping up its sponsorship agreements ahead of the event, also signing up snow making firm TechnoAlpin. TechnoAlpin will be an official supporter of the Italian Games, with official supporter being the lowest tier of partner.

Other official partners include Japanese bedding manufacturer airweave, ski and snowboard slope firm Kässbohrer Italia, human bionics company Ottobock, furniture, fixtures, and equipment solutions provider RGS Events, and Italian ticketing, marketing, information and e-commerce company TicketOne.

For Milano Cortina 2026, the premium partner tier is made up of iconic Italian brands such as electricity and gas suppliuer Enel, energy company Eni, state-owned railway company Gruppo FS, national mail service PosteItaliane, and additionally French mountain sportswear brand Salomon and European vehicle manufacturing giant Stellantis.

On top of this, Italian brands such as EA7 Emporio Armani, Esselunga, Fiera Milano, Grana Padano, Kiko Milano, TIM, and Prosecco DOC will also support the winter Olympics as regular tier partners and sponsors.

The 2026 Winter Games are less than 365 days away and On Location, the games’ first official hospitality provider, recently revealed ticketing packages for the event, launching a hospitality program that covers flights, hotels, transport, event tickets, meet & greets, and more.
