AECOM, the international architecture and engineering services company, has been named the official venue infrastructure partner for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Team USA.
As part of the deal, AECOM will support the delivery of the venue infrastructure program for the Games.
AECOM will work on the architecture and engineering of LA28’s venues, as well as the program management of their delivery, while its AECOM Hunt business will oversee the procurement process, cost estimating, scheduling, and construction management of the venue infrastructure.
AECOM will also help with LA28’s temporary venues and temporary overlays on existing permanent venues.
Troy Rudd, AECOM’s chairman and chief executive, said: “We are honored to contribute our expertise to help bring LA28’s vision to life. Our team brings deep technical expertise and relentless innovation to deliver world-class infrastructure that makes these moments possible.
“We are committed to championing the Olympic & Paralympic Movement and helping to build an unparalleled experience for spectators and participants at the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
AECOM has previously contributed to the Olympics at London 2012, Rio 2016, and Tokyo 2021.
The 2028 games in California will be Los Angeles’ third time hosting the Olympics (previously 1984 and 1932) and the first time hosting the Paralympics.
