The BWT Alpine Formula 1 (F1) team has bolstered its commercial stable for the new season with cruise operator MSC Cruises and Argentine e-commerce company Mercado Libre.
MSC Cruises will serve as a premium partner of the F1 outfit in a multi-year deal and have prominent branding space on Alpine’s A525 race cars for the 2025 season. Mercado Libre's logo will also feature on the team's cars.
The brand becomes a premium partner – alongside H.Moser & Cie, Renault E-Tech, and Eni. They sit below top-tier title partner BWT.
The deal with Alpine sees the company enhance its presence in the sport. The cruise line is already a global partner of F1 and was recently unveiled as the title sponsor of a trio of grand prix races (Austria, USA, and Brazil) for the upcoming campaign as part of that commercial partnership.
Last season, MSC Cruises also put its name to races in Japan, Belgium, and Emilia-Romagna in Northern Italy.
The partnership with Alpine also gives Mercado Libre an expanded presence in F1 having partnered with the Williams Racing team last year.
Alpine has announced several commercial deals in recent weeks, including a new partnership with superfoods brand Oakberry and a renewal with French automotive anti-theft marking company Eurodatacar.
Meanwhile, the iconic Scuderia Ferrari team has brought in Ambipar, the environmental solutions company, as a new team partner.
Through the tie-up, Ferrari will integrate environmental solutions to support its sustainability efforts and goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.
This is the Italy-based team’s second sponsorship deal this month after agreeing a new multi-year partnership with asset trading platform Vantage Markets.
The 2025 F1 season gets underway on March 16 in Melbourne, Australia.
In other F1 developments, the Sauber Motorsport team has partnered with CoinPayments, the cryptocurrency payment solutions firm.
As part of the agreement, CoinPayments’ logo will be sported on the team’s 2025 car.
The two parties will also collaborate on fan engagement initiatives.
The 2025 F1 season begins with the Australian Grand Prix on March 16.
