Media rights deals in numerous key markets have been secured for the 2025 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, which runs between February 4 (today) and 16.
These agreements have been struck for the FIS skiing governing body by Infront, the heavyweight sports marketing agency.
The biennial World Championships are this year taking place in Saalbach, Austria.
Networks that will have a presence onsite include European public-service broadcasters such as ORF in Austria, the UK’s BBC, and ARD and ZDF in Germany.
A pan-continental deal is in place with Eurosport (which also holds rights across Asia), while in Scandinavia, a deal has been struck with streaming heavyweight Viaplay.
Latin American coverage comes courtesy of ESPN, and across the Asia-Pacific region, deals are in place with CCTV (China), J Sports (Japan), and JTBC (South Korea).

Christian Salomon, chief commercial director at the FIS, said: “Season after season, we realize how the global appeal of Alpine Skiing continues to grow. The World Championships are the moment for us to take this exposure to the next level, and the extensive reach of these agreements is a testament to the strong demand for premium snow sports content.”

Jens Mennigmann, Infront’s co-head of media, added: “The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships is a marquee event in winter sports, and we are committed to making it available to as many fans as possible worldwide. By securing an extensive mix of primary and secondary broadcast agreements, we are ensuring that this thrilling competition reaches both traditional audiences and new demographics.”
