Sport en France, the television channel of the French Olympic Committee, has struck a short-term live rights deal with the Professional Squash Association (PSA) governing body.
Through a tie-up unveiled today, Sport en France will show a selection of PSA Squash Tour events free-to-air through the remainder of the 2024-25 season (running through to the finals in late June).
The tie-up is part of a wider overall initiative from the broadcaster, alongside the French Squash Federation, to promote the sport ahead of its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles games in 2028.
The first tournament to be shown under this deal will be the Tournament of Champions, taking place in New York City between January 23 and 30.
Romain Schindler, director at Sport en France, said: “This collaboration aligns perfectly with our shared ambitions for squash in France. Building on the success of the Paris Squash broadcasts, we aim to create compelling content that appeals to both dedicated fans and newcomers alike.
“With squash set to debut at the LA28 Olympics, we have a unique opportunity to showcase French and international squash to a wider audience.”
Melissa Soobratty, PSA’s head of marketing and media, added: “We are excited to announce this partnership with Sport en France as we look to increase the visibility of our sport and engage new fans in France and beyond.
