Nottingham Forest, of English soccer’s Premier League, has today appointed former AS Roma CEO Lina Souloukou as its new chief executive.
She will take up the role on January 5, 2025, and oversee the strategic development of the East Midlands-based club.
Souloukou spent just under 18 months at Italian giants Roma before resigning in September this year.
The move to Forest reunites Souloukou with the Premier League side’s owner, Evangelos Marinakis, having previously spent almost six years at Greek outfit Olympiacos, another club under his stewardship.
With a legal background, Souloukou held a position representing Olympiacos and Roma on the board of the European Club Association.
Speaking of the appointment, Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis said: “We are delighted to welcome Lina Souloukou to our team. Her proven track record in football management and her passion and commitment align perfectly with our vision for Nottingham Forest and the wider group as we continue to push for greater success.”
