Wiesenhof, the Germany-based poultry company, has again partnered up with European soccer’s governing body UEFA, this time in a sponsorship deal covering next year’s Women’s European Championships in Switzerland.

Through a deal unveiled earlier today, Wiesenhof is added to the ranks of sponsors covering the 16-team event, which will take place between July 2 and 27.

The brand’s logo will be visible on LED perimeter hoardings during games, as well as on media backdrops and press conferences at games.

Wiesenhof (owned by the PHW Group) joins Miele Switzerland, Swisscom, and Swissquote (unveiled earlier this week), in the national partner category for the national teams’ tournament.

The poultry firm was also a national partner of this year’s men’s Euros, which took place across June and July in Germany. GlobalData Sport valued that deal (announced in September 2023) as worth $7.5 million overall.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, marketing director at UEFA, has said: “Our previous collaboration demonstrated the impressive power and reach of Wiesenhof’s distribution network, as well as their commitment to bringing their sponsorship to life through engaging promotional campaigns.

Ingo Stryck, the PHW Group’s head of marketing, added: “The response to our first partnership with UEFA was overwhelming …

“We now want to build on this success by sponsoring UEFA Women's Euro 2025. This is the next logical step for us, as our partner, the DFB [German] women, have already qualified for the European Championship.”

Indeed, the German team are likely to be one of the pre-tournament favorites for the Women’s Euros, having made it to the final of the 2022 edition in England (before losing to the hosts).

In terms of other sponsors for next year’s tournament, Lidl also joined up earlier this week.

The Women’s Euros will be held in eight host cities across Switzerland – Basel (opening game and final), Bern, Geneva, Zurich, St. Gallen, Lucerne, Thun, and Sion. England will go in as the defending champions.

The draw for the group stages of the tournament takes place on December 16 (next Monday) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

In 2017, UEFA separated its women’s sponsorship packages from those for the men’s game for the first time.
