The World Rugby governing body has today appointed Ocean Outdoor, a digital advertising specialist, as its official digital out-of-home (DOOH) media partner for next year’s Women’s Rugby World Cup in England.
Under the agreement, Ocean, a partner company of investment company Atairos, will promote the tournament across its OOH advertising portfolio in the UK.
Having already delivered sports-themed events including 22 fan zones for the Paris 2024 Olympics, Paralympics, and tennis’ Wimbledon grand slam, Ocean will also manage the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 flagship fan zone in London.
Sarah Massey, the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 managing director, said: “The creative opportunities of this new partnership will help us showcase Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025’s energy across England and the UK, driving interest and building momentum ahead of this generational moment for rugby.”
Next year’s tournament, the 10th edition of the event, will take place from 22 August to 27 September across eight host locations.
Earlier this month, World Rugby announced the appointment of global ticketing giant Ticketmaster’s sports arm as the official ticketing service provider for the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup (RWC25).
