English soccer’s top-flight Premier League has sold its domestic audio rights for the 2025-26 through 2028-29 seasons, once again splitting them between the BBC public-service broadcaster BBC and commercial talk radio operator TalkSport.
Six rights packages for Premier League games played at different timings have been distributed to the two, with four going to the BBC and two going to News UK-owned TalkSport.
All 320 Premier League matches per season will be covered by the deal with approximately 209 going to the BBC depending on unforeseen fixture changes, while the remaining 111 are taken by TalkSport, also fixture change dependent.
The Premier League awarded the Saturday 3pm (65 games), Saturday 5:30pm (43), Sunday 2pm (66), and Sunday 4:30pm (35) kickoff slots to BBC, with TalkSport taking the Saturday 12:30pm slot (43) as well as the Friday and Monday 7:30-8pm slots (68), the latter package of which also includes postponed or delayed games that have been moved to midweek.
This deal is a direct continuation of the agreement BBC and TalkSport struck with the Premier League in 2022 for the 2023-24 and current 2024-25 campaigns, where all six packages then were awarded identically.
BBC Radio and TalkSport have been the sole UK radio broadcasters of the Premier League since the 2016-17 season after rival Absolute bowed out from the rights a season prior.
