The World Netball governing body has unveiled Fiona Harold, currently of women’s golf’s Ladies European Tour (LET), as its next chief executive.
Harold, who is currently the commercial director at the LET (and has been since November 2022) will take the reins in November. She will replace Vicky Lowe, who has been interim CEO of the body (headquartered in Manchester, England) since April.
Harold will “work alongside the board and the secretariat team to initiate, develop and implement strategies and processes” that will bring about sustainable success for the organization.
Before joining the LET, she spent time at sporting properties such as the IMG agency, Sport England, and English soccer’s Football Association (as the partnerships manager for three years). She has also spent time at global bank Barclays.
Lowe was appointed as interim World Netball CEO in the wake of the sudden departure of her long-serving predecessor Clare Briegal in October 2023. Briegal had been in permanent charge since 2014.
Harold said: “I am thrilled to be joining World Netball as their new CEO at a time when the organization is in a key period of growth.
