Women’s basketball’s top-tier WNBA and US carrier Delta Air Lines have announced a multi-year partnership, making Delta the official airline partner of the WNBA.
The deal serves as an expansion of their previous partnership, which consisted of Delta’s 2024 WNBA charter program. Under that agreement, Delta charters flights for all 12 of the league’s teams throughout the regular season and playoffs.
Moving forward, as the official airline partner Delta will hold advertising space through WNBA media assets including broadcast, digital, print, and social media. The airline will also promote the WNBA through its own digital and social media networks.
Delta chief executive Ed Bastian has said: “We’re proud to partner with the WNBA, where every game is a testament to our shared values of teamwork and perseverance.
“We look forward to serving these incredible athletes on their journeys and furthering Delta’s support of women’s athletics.”
WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert added: “As an airline partner of the WNBA, this partnership not only elevates the travel experience for the players, but also underscores Delta and the WNBA’s shared dedication to enhancing the growth and visibility of women’s sports.”
