The International Cricket Council (ICC) governing body is today launching a tender process for its official data rights through 2027.

The Dubai-based ICC is releasing its official invitation to tender for a data rights partner covering the 2024-27 major events cycle.

The rights will extend across 13 major ICC events – covering senior men’s and women’s tournaments, as well as under-19 events.

The chosen partner will have the right to “exploit ICC data rights and provide editorial support services for ICC events,” the global governing body has said.

This tender is being issued with the ICC close to concluding its media rights sales process for the next commercial cycle.

Deals have already been tied up and unveiled in most major markets, with only New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh outstanding.

GlobalData (Sportcal) understands that all three could potentially be announced by the end of next week, with agreements in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh set to come over the next few days.

The last deal unveiled came earlier this week, a two-year tie-up in Pakistan with state broadcaster PTV, and media group Tower Sports.

An audio rights tender in Australia, the UK, and India has also been recently issued.

The first major event in the new cycle comes in June, with the ICC Men's T20 World Cup across the US and Caribbean.
