The San Diego Padres franchise of North American baseball’s MLB has announced a new partnership with UK eyewear manufacturer SunGod.
SunGod will become the team’s official eyewear partner through the 2024 MLB season, which begins on March 20 when the Padres face the Los Angeles Dodgers in Seoul, South Korea as part of the league’s Seoul Series.
Through the partnership, Padres players will wear SunGod eyewear both on and off the field, sporting the brand’s Pace Series visor sunglasses whilst playing, and its sunglasses from its Lifestyle Series when off the field.
SunGod will also collaborate with the Padres for limited edition co-branded sunglasses collections throughout the season.
The partnership with the Padres is the latest in a string of high-profile sports industry tie-ups for SunGod.
In 2022, the eyewear brand extended its partnership with Formula 1 motor racing team McLaren in a deal also covering its Extreme E electric off-road racing team.
