Italian sportswear brand Kappa has announced a three-year sponsorship with of multiple MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi’s VR46 motorcycling team.
The deal, running until 2026, will see Kappa become the team's new technical sponsor, with the brand releasing a clothing collection featuring the team's iconic black and yellow colors as part of the deal.
The collection will include polo shirts, waterproof and padded jackets, shorts, pants, headwear, and sweatshirts.
The VR46 MotoGP team was announced in 2021 when it signed a three-year deal to compete in the MotoGP World Championship in 2022 with Ducati, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer. The agreement sees Ducati provide motorcycles to the team through to the end of the 2024 season.
VR46 also agreed a five-year deal with MotoGP promoter Dorna Sports around the same time to participate in the series until 2026.
The team is backed by Tanal Entertainment Sport and Media, which is a holding company of Saudi Arabia’s Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Saud after the two parties entered into a joint venture earlier in 2021.

The team was initially founded as a Moto3 team in 2014.
Kappa meanwhile was announced as the new official sportswear supplier of motor racing’s iconic annual 24 Hours of Le Mans and race organizer Automobile Club de L’Ouest (ACO).
The three-year deal was brokered by international sports and entertainment agency IMG, Le Mans’ exclusive licensing agency, and will see Kappa design a new sportswear range each year for ACO staff during the 2024, 2025, and 2026 editions.
The deal expanded Kappa’s growing kit supplier portfolio, which includes a collaboration with the VWT Alpine Formula 1 motor racing team, as well as multiple partnerships with European soccer clubs including Italy’s Fiorentina, Napoli, and Genoa, France’s Monaco and Metz, and Germany’s Mainz 05.
