French soccer’s top-tier Ligue 1 has secured an exclusive media rights partner for the next five seasons in Poland, through a deal with the Eleven Sports international subscription broadcaster through 2028-29.

The deal gives Eleven sole rights after the broadcaster shared Ligue 1 coverage with pay-TV’s Canal Plus for the 2020-24 cycle.

This new tie-up covers the 2024-25, 2025-26, 2026-27, 2027-28, and 2028-29 seasons.

Ligue 1 currently contains a number of Polish players, including Marcin Bułka (OGC Nice), and Radosław Majecki (AS Monaco).

This tie-up has come with Ligue 1 racing to conclude broadcast rights partnerships for the next cycle, with 2024-25 having already been underway for around a month.

The lateness of deals being struck has come partly because of the domestic rights situation not being resolved until mid-July, when DAZN and BeIN Sports finally signed up as partners through 2028-29.

In terms of other significant soccer rights held by Eleven in Poland, in early July the broadcaster reclaimed rights to Germany’s Bundesliga in Poland.

Eleven will begin broadcasting the league in January 2025, showing selected Bundesliga and second-tier Bundesliga 2 matches from the second half of the 2024-25 season on a non-exclusive basis alongside primary rightsholder Viaplay.

From the start of the 2025-26 campaign, Eleven will take over from the embattled Nordic streaming service exclusively.

Eleven's soccer portfolio in Poland also includes action from Spain's LaLiga through the 2025-26 season and the Spanish Super Cup until 2025.
