Quest and The Sports Consultancy launch advisory venture
The Sports Consultancy, the London-based sports marketing group, and Quest, the British advisory firm, have launched an advisory and investigations co-venture.
The pair’s new endeavour, Global Sports Investigations, will offer bespoke investigations and advice to the sports industry.
GSI’s offering will include: consultation; investigations; ongoing monitoring; recommendations; and implementation.
The consultancy’s service will be aimed at sporting bodies seeking advice on betting, integrity, athlete welfare, anti-doping, governance and transparency, safeguarding and commercial rights.
Commenting on the launch, Robert Datnow, founder and managing director of The Sports Consultancy, said: “This is the time to launch GSI. In the climate of increased scrutiny into behaviour, integrity transparency and the governance of sport, the need for truly independent, expert, professional, end-to-end management of investigations and inquiries, where sport can be confident of the planning, outcomes and follow through has never been more needed by the entire sports community.”
The Sports Consultancy works across all aspects of the sports industry to find host cities for major events, broker sponsorship deals and market media rights.
Clients include national governing bodies such as England's Rugby Football League, British Athletics, Team Scotland and British Equestrian, international federations such as cycling's UCI and equestrianism's FEI and event organisers like Volvo Ocean Race and European Professional Club Rugby, which oversees the continent’s top rugby union clubs competitions.
In July, the agency established a standalone legal arm, The Sports Consultancy Legal.
