Nobu joins Australian Open restaurant offering
Nobu, the luxury chain of Japanese restaurants, is to feature at next year’s Australian Open, one of tennis’ four ‘grand slams’, after the company agreed a deal to become of the tournament’s official restaurants.
Nobu joins the Australian Open’s portfolio of restaurants which includes Rockpool Dining Group, Laneway Club, 88 Melbourne and Glasshouse.
The tournament’s hospitality services offer boxes, private dining rooms and three fine dining restaurants for visitors.
Commenting on the deal, Enda Cunningham, Tennis Australia head of hospitality, said: “We pride ourselves on working with the very best restaurants in the world and Nobu’s reputation as a culinary leader is unequivocal. Our hospitality experiences continue to grow and evolve, providing unique opportunities to all fans.”
The Australian Open’s sponsors include Kia, the Korean car brand, ANZ, the Australian and New Zealand financial services company, and Jacob’s Creek the Australian wine brand.
The 2018 Australian Open is taking place in Melbourne from 15 to 28 January.
