In our Week 1 Impact Report, we looked into the moments, sponsors, and countries that were making a splash. Lausanne, September 25, 2015 – Less than two months after its historic win at the 128th IOC Session in Kuala Lumpur, Lausanne, Olympic Capital, has already started to work on designing the Youth Games of the future. To lead that work, it has been decided to appoint a new Director General. The search for the perfect candidate has opened today and will close on October 9th.

Kuala Lumpur, July 31st, 2015 – It’s done! After two years of campaigning which ended with a spectacular final presentation this morning in front of the IOC, today Lausanne won the right to organize the Olympic Games, exactly 100 years after the establishment of the IOC in the City. The result represents a “great opportunity for Swiss sport” according to Federal Counselor Ueli Maurer, who was present in Kuala Lumpur where the decision was made.
